Summary: Are we living well today, but creating challenges for tomorrow? This is the main idea behind sustainable development, the principle that underlies the recent interest in "green" technologies, products, and campaigns. Many people are working within governments, universities, and companies to provide policies, products, and services that can provide for today and create a healthier economy, environment, and society for the future. The term “green jobs” has been used to describe someone working toward that future. Although the popular press usually describes someone with a green job as a wind turbine technician or solar panel installer, this course will introduce and explore the concept that every job needs to become a “green job” and how you can either get one or create one.
This certificate series includes the Expert-led Green Jobs 101 course and two credit bearing self-paced courses: Introduction to Environmental Science and Business Ethics. Completion of all three courses is required for the certificate
