Professor McKinney is currently a Business Faculty Member at Potomac College. She also serves as an Academic Team Member, and as part of Potomac’s Self-Study Steering Committee. She has taught a wide variety of Business and Leadership Courses both on-ground and online. Professor McKinney also has extensive experience working with children in Loudoun County Public Schools and worked for many years in marketing and business leadership roles in both a small online e-Learning company and a large pharmaceutical company.

Professor McKinney has over 10 years of experience teaching as a faculty member at a variety of public and private colleges, as well as public schools in Loudoun County VA. She also has over 17 years of business experience with a specialization in marketing, launching new products, management and overall business operations. Professor McKinney’s strong business background, as well her teaching experience, has led to her success in implementing a well rounded approach to learning at many levels.

Professor McKinney has delivered a wide array of courses both in on-ground classrooms and online platforms. At the post-secondary level, she has taught Marketing, Consumer Behavior, New Product Development and Launch, Foundations of Business, Business Ethics, Management, Human Resource Management, Communications, Salesmanship, Project Planning, and Individual and Interpersonal Effectiveness. At the primary level, she has taught across curriculum subjects including math, science, social studies, reading/language arts, as well as specialty subjects. Professor McKinney also has extensive experience working with Special Needs students across a variety of disabilities (autism spectrum, intellectual and emotional disabilities) as both a substitute teacher and a volunteer for Paws4People.

Professor McKinney has a wealth of business experience developing strategies and implementing new product launches and marketing campaigns for both products and services from pharmaceuticals to eLearning. Professor McKinney also has a strong background in management, project planning, budgeting and profit planning.
