StraighterLine Rings In the New Year with New Features and Courses Planned for 2011

BALTIMORE, MD – To enable cash-strapped students to better map their college path, StraighterLine (www.straighterline.com) announces new courses and course features for 2011.  Already recommended by a variety of course reviewing bodies, StraighterLine will add several innovative course options in 2011. Examples are:

  • Anytime, Anywhere Proctored Testing – Proctored testing with the flexibility and convenience students require for distance education.  Students will be able to choose among several identity verification procedures to best meet the student’s budget and academic needs.
  • Cohort Formats –StraighterLine students will be able to choose between self-paced or group instruction, letting StraighterLine students select the learning environment that best suits their academic and financial needs.

Further, StraighterLine plans to launch an additional 11 courses in the first half of 2011. These are:

  • Anatomy & Physiology I & II (each with lab option)
  • Calculus I (Spanish)
  • Calculus II
  • Managerial Accounting
  • Medical Terminology
  • Pharmacology I & II
  • Psychology

Currently, StraighterLine offers 15 entry-level college courses online, including College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, Business Writing, Introduction to Biology, Introduction to Biology with a lab, General Chemistry 1, General Chemistry 1 with a lab, English Comp I, English Comp II, Accounting I, Accounting II, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Business Statistics and two developmental courses.
