I expected this course to be easier than it was. I have taken five CLEP exams and decided to take this class because of all the facts needing to be memorized. I was greatly disappointed in this course, most of all because the exam questions didn't prepare me for the tests. I have never had more difficulty than I did with this course. there were quite a few grammatical errors in the homework and exams. the lesson lectures never directly discussed the power points and didn't line up.

Great self-paced course.

The presentations for this course are not useful at all. The homework is not useful either. All of the test questions are obscure, and occasionally even subjective, and seem randomly picked from the textbook.

Not too difficult of a course. Textbook definitely required, but a different edition works fine. Test questions were designed to be highly specific to the text. But most questions on the test were written to be tricky rather than written to ascertain whether or not the student had learned the information.
Informative.
This course covers the US History up to 1877.
This course was a good overview of the first half of American history. I took it for a pre requisite.

Excellent class. Learned a lot
This was interesting. The only concernis the study guides need improvement.
I would not recommend this course! There is a lot of information covered for each test, the major problem is that if you complete the practice test questions and in the lectures they are completely useless! I completed the study guide for the midterm and it really didn't help me at all. There needs to be some changes to the way things are done including the proctoring. You have a trust agreement with your students why not have that trust for the final. If you are going to proctor one test or exam you should do all of them that way. It may be a cheaper way to take courses but now I know why!

This course was content loaded and very thorough. Do not bother with the lessons, as they have very little to do with the quizzes or tests. In order to do well on the assignments, read and study the textbook.
I enjoyed the narrative writing of the text book. The exam questions came directly from the reading with the course lessons providing a more in-depth look at certain topics.

The course was straightforward and well-explained. Having the textbook is a necessity for success!
I enjoyed the course. I definitely recommend obtaining and reading the text book. Most of the test questions come from the text.
This was a poorly constructed course that required the student to do most of the learning through independent reading. The lessons were not only filled with typos and inaccuracies, they were not at all helpful in completing the tests.

This course really tests your knowledge and overall understanding of US history.
The course was very confusing when it came time to take the test. The questions that was being asked was different from the textbook and the chapter reviews. The information was very good, but not helpful on the test.
the course and material was ok. I do not think the questions on the quizzes were an accurate reflection of what the material covered. The questions were not what was the most important information in my opinion.
This course was simple to navigate and easy to follow.
