This course prepares you for the challenges of higher education. It introduces you to various strategies for learning and other skills that are often overlooked when planning for college. You will conduct self-assessments to become familiar with the styles of learning that best suit you. You will become proficient in time management, listening and reading skills, writing techniques, public speaking, memory abilities, and test-taking strategies. This course was very helpful for me in starting online school, as I have never taken online courses before and it has been many years since I have attended school. It was a great way to get comfortable with the course format, and also a great refresher on best practices for school.

This was an awesome course. I would recommend this strongly to anyone attempting or currently in college. It has helped me review topics that will help me later on and in current day life. It prepared me for what is to come when I graduate school.

This course is most excellent. I have really enjoyed it, it is easy, informative, helpful and challenging. It helps you to think about things that you might not have before.

I really enjoyed this course. I wish I would have taken it in my beginning years of college, but everyone attending college should take this course. You can learn alot of valuable information from this course.

I liked the writing assignments. They were fair, three over-90 scores would indicate I did well on them, and hey-on one of them I actually sent in a snippet of my fiction writing (as an example of a novel I'm writing) to a professional. I haven't done that before, even if it wasn't quite the right kind of professional.

I loved the mid term and final exams...They were a challenge to me. I also enjoyed learning and writing up a resume.
