I expected this course to be easier than it was. I have taken five CLEP exams and decided to take this class because of all the facts needing to be memorized. I was greatly disappointed in this course, most of all because the exam questions didn't prepare me for the tests. I have never had more difficulty than I did with this course. there were quite a few grammatical errors in the homework and exams. the lesson lectures never directly discussed the power points and didn't line up.

Not too difficult of a course. Textbook definitely required, but a different edition works fine. Test questions were designed to be highly specific to the text. But most questions on the test were written to be tricky rather than written to ascertain whether or not the student had learned the information.

I would not recommend this course! There is a lot of information covered for each test, the major problem is that if you complete the practice test questions and in the lectures they are completely useless! I completed the study guide for the midterm and it really didn't help me at all. There needs to be some changes to the way things are done including the proctoring. You have a trust agreement with your students why not have that trust for the final. If you are going to proctor one test or exam you should do all of them that way. It may be a cheaper way to take courses but now I know why!

I personally feel that the lectures do not prepare you at all for the tests!!! The textbook is definitely a must and the lecture should be more extensive. I am very disappointed in this class.

It was clear what was expected and had a good amount of material covered for each topic. I also thought that the book used was good at presenting not only the names and dates but the themes and impressions of the implications of the historical figures and events.
