This course was confusing and inconsistency in grading of papers
The overall course content was mediocre. However, the worst aspect of my experience with both ENG101 and ENG102 was the incompetence of the personnel working the courses. From graders being unable to correctly fill out rubrics to the professor not being able to correctly read an MLA works cited page to the course manager refusing to address problems and chastising me because she did not even know what her own course assignment directions said. If this course had been offered by a brick and mortar institution I would have been a regular visitor to the Provost because of the gross incompetence at every level.
It was a challenging course, however it provided some wonderful opportunities for growth and improvement in writing skills.
This class can be easy if you turn in your drafts , and make sure you read the Frankenstein book
You will be surprised by how much more challenging ENG102 is compared to ENG101. You will have a huge workload--a total of seven papers from 800-2000 words--probably more than any other course. You will find the assignments interesting with a lot of freedom to write creatively. You will find that some quizzes ask about things which are not presented in the topic. You will be graded strictly--do not expect to get higher than 80 percent on each assignment, no matter how good your work is. You will be satisfied with this course if you are looking for a chance to practice or refine your writing skills. If you do not have a lot of experience in writing college papers, you are better off attempting a less challenging course.

This course is pretty basic. The lesson presentations are not very specific. It does require you, however, to write a good variety of essays.

This class met my expectations. I am glad I chose to use this type of course delivery rather than spending the time going to traditional classes. This particular class was much more convenient online.

The course is very well organized and flows well, however, the Frankenstein component, in my opinion, is antiquated. Although I realize the purpose, it seems that there are many novels that could be assigned that are better and more recent.

An excellent course, especially the draft option, it helped me the most to enhance my writing.

I find that the grading is not consistent with the overall lectures and learning material. I found a lot of grammatical errors and felt some of the printed lecture materials contained information which was rather 'fuzzy' and unclear.

This 3 credit class is time intensive. I put more hours into this course than any 3 credit course I took in college. There were many spelling/grammatical errors in the lessons and you were tested on information that was not given in the lessons. Furthermore, each topic asked you to read the "OWL" resources, without providing a specific link to the info they wanted you to review. I would not recommend this course to anyone.

this course requires alot of writing i wish it didn
It was well scripted and tough
I enjoyed the course very much. reading Frankenstein was most enjoyable. The papers were a little tedious but manageable. Despite following the instructions and reviewing the sample papers, I felt the graders of the papers were a little harsh in their grading.
Great course. Loved the variety of papers.
This course was challenging but if you spend a certain number of hours everyday it is possible to complete the course. Overall, I like how the professors made this course. Plus, the best part is it is self-paced and Academic Advisors are available to answer any questions related to the course.
This class definitely helped to better prepare me to write college papers. The work was challenging and interesting.

This course is very clear and well paced. Definitely not something to jam into a couple weeks though. A lot of writing is involved. However the 1st draft submission and editing and the tutor service provided are excellent and are definitely not to be missed!
It was good, but could use some tune ups on the flow.

The course in itself was very succinct and informational. The issues I experienced with the course pertained to the grading method and how the material was presented - the lecture material did not always correspond with the assigned quizzes.

This course contained many compositions allowing you to review and analyze the book Frankenstein. In addition, there were quizzes and one final exam on the comprehension of Frankenstion. There were also other compositions that further advance your knowledge of researching and critically analyzing other pieces of literature.
The course was easy, but had too many assignments.

The course covered a classic novel: Frankenstein as the required read. We wrote papers in each section (10 altogether) but they weren't too bad, just a few pages each. We learned different types of papers and how to write them.

Honestly I thought it was awful. I have taken many English courses in the past and this one offers no feedback on your papers and grades completely unfair. Not to mention that the grammar in some of the quizzes is incorrect and words are misspelled...this is an ENGLISH class, how can you misspell the quizzes? Ridiculous.

This course was helpful in learning about lots of different writing styles and techniques. The papers were graded fairly fast which also was helpful!
The course was laid out plainly and clearly. It was easy to understand what I needed to do. However, I did not like having to read a horror story as a required part of the assignments.

Eng ll overall was fair
overall review of many broad topics in reading and writing
this course reviewed language use, evaluation, illustration, and classification.
I great course to complete the GE English requirements. The writing assignments, with instructor feedback, helped in improving my writing skills.
This course was set up very well. It was easy to navigate, and the assignments were graded quickly. My only complaint was the course sections were in a bad format.
enjoyable
This class was helpful, but i feel the work load for a general education course was to high since I took this class in school, and it was a lot less work.
Very thorough. Learned a lot.
The teachers respond quickly to all the work I submit, and they give helpful suggestions for improvement.
It was a very clear and interesting course. I feel I have gained a lot of knowledge and improved my writing skills. Thank you very much.
Nice mix of literary concepts in order to learn how to write well developed research papers on any subject.
It was pretty good, but there was a lot of writing, and once or twice both graders disagreed with each other. So I got a higher grade on my draft then on my final.
This was a good course and challenging. What I did not like was that there was no "verbal" feedback on the essays. Just a letter grade. It would have been more helpful if there were some comments made.
This class is not terribly difficult. what is frustrating is that they give you different graders between the draft and the final of a paper, and so you do not get consistent feedback/grading.
Amazing class!
Great organization. Prompt responses. Clear lectures. Presentation format is a little obnoxious.
Full of content. The quizzes were a lot easier than the essays.
This course provides a thorough understanding of the different types of writing. It was extremely helpful to have specific sources to use (OWL Purdue). To do the course properly, you really need to complete all the reading from additional sources. The work is comparable to online courses that I've taken at my college, and has definitely surpassed some of those. I liked being able to work at my own pace. I usually do poorly at testing because of memory problems, but because of the way the course was set up, the quizzes were short, and I was able to complete them well enough.
1) It was extremely challenging, especially the essays. They really made me think outside the box sometimes.
2) The essay evaluations-95% of the time they were very encouraging yet full of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.
3) I liked the subscription idea. It was the least expensive option for me, and pushes you to complete the course in a certain time frame.
At first, it was difficult because I have never done a course on line, but it was interesting and educative. Getting a new experience using the on-line course was challenging.

Everything is perfect.
Everything was made understandable. The concepts were explained as they would apply to you in real life.
For me it was the interpretation of the book Frankenstein. By using this text, which was an unexpected surprise, the coursework gave me an overview of what was needed to analyze and interpret literature. The writing assignments were fun.
I enjoyed learning about the various types of essays. They will benefit me as I go on to Master's degree.
I enjoyed learning how to find deeper meaning in the things I was reading. Overall I enjoyed the Frankenstein portion of the course the best because of this. The rest of the course seemed somewhat 'tacked on' by comparison, just a series of filler essays.
I enjoyed that it was a self paced course that still required a decent amount of work and effort.
