This online statistics course familiarizes students with the basic concepts of business statistics and provides a comprehensive overview of its scope and limitations. Students become familiar with statistical analysis of samples, compute the measures of location and dispersion, and interpret them for descriptive statistics. Similar to other online college statistics courses, lessons demonstrate linear regression, multiple regression, correlation analysis, model building, model diagnosis, and time series regression using various models. The course also describes basic concepts of probability and applies the discrete and continuous distributions of probability. Other topics in this online statistics course include constructing a hypothesis on one and two samples, performing one-way and two-way analysis of variance, applying nonparametric methods of statistical analysis, and making decisions under risk or uncertainty. If you've been considering an online college statistics course, this is the one.
This Course Includes:
- Proctored Exams

The content of the course is very complete. I would have liked for it to expand a little on some explanations. Also, the course should provide all charts and tables necessary. Many are not provided because they are in the book, but when I asked on the live chat if the book was necessary they said no. So, you should either expand the information provided or say from the start that the book is necessary. In some of the tests I couldn

It was a difficult course for me. I have not taken a Math course in several years. SL was definately the way to do it! I took my time and didn't move on until I knew the topic. I would recommend SL to anybody, especially students that are considering enrolling in an online college/university. It was a great way to practice managing my time and adjusting to learning independently.
To tell you the truth, the topics in this class was fun. It was also fairly easy for me since I've taken the course before in undergrad. But I'm quite disappointed on the final and the quizzes. Some of the quizzes questions are poorly written. Signs and pictures were missing from the quizzes. Some of the quizzes were graded incorrectly. This was also true with the finals. I have a very difficult time contacting the professor. At the very least the professor should be available for questions.
It is a basic statistics course with an emphasis on the business side
Easy to understand what what was expected and easy to access content.
Great delivery. The course breakdown was challenging but achievable.
I am a traveling nurse, private duty, so the ability to do the work and be mobile was good.

I enjoyed doing the review the most
Great delivery. The course breakdown was challenging but achievable.
I like that I could study for a topic then take a quiz just like a regular college course, only without the tedious assignments and long wait times between taking tests. If I felt I really knew something I could take the exam that day. If I didnt I could continue to study with no pressure until I understood the material.

I liked the ability to go at my own rate. The text book is well written. The overall organization of the course is good.
I liked the challenging topics
I liked the fact that it is purely self-paced because I am one of those students who have to read things repeatedly before the information is grasped and will still have trouble with the information.
I liked the lesson layouts and the book.

I liked the tutoring availability because it helped me whenever I needed it.
I liked the variety of learning methods to utilize, visual, powerpoint, audio, etc.
I liked the way the course was organized. I liked the example multi-media videos which take you through different topics step by step.
I liked that I could take it at my own pace.
I liked working at my own pace and getting this course done quickly.
I must admit this course was a bit boring for me. There was nothing wrong with the course format or delivery at all. It was just that I found myself struggling with the textbook sometimes because I couldn't get into it. It's hard to relate to a course when you aren't really into it. I did get through it though and I passed so I am happy.
I really liked the self-paced theory in the course. The you-tube videos were great and did a good job of applying the material.
I think my experience was partly my fault, because i had never taken an online course and Business Statistics was one that i should have never taken online. I was never able to use my free tutoring hours because I could never get on the Black board. All of the quizes that I took, I wanted to get the answers so that I could review and see what I did wrong, which I think would have been extremely helpful to me. I would have never and do not know anyone that I would have shared the answers with.
I thought it was pretty tough.
It was fast and in my budget
One of my academic strengths is test taking, therefore I appreciated that this course utilized test-based evaluation for grading purposes.
Self-paced. Good lectures.
The book was great and the slides were marginally helpful.
the easy access was great
I liked the ability to go at my own rate. The text book is well written. The overall organization of the course is good.
The everyday examples the course lessons provided and the links for additional topic material not stated in the lesson presentation. These helped to make the infirmation more understandable and effective to learning the material.
The exam was nothing like what I expected. I didnt think there was going to be so much that we had to calculate. It was nothing like the quizzes. I didnt pass for that reason. I did study all day yesterday and all week. Its not right.
The instructional videos were extremely helpful as were the tutorial videos walking students through specific problems. I was able to make more sense of what I read in the text. This was clear and easy to understand for the most part though I find the subject matter of statistics somewhat difficult.
The powerpoint presentations associated with each course were very helpful to review key concepts prior to each exam.
The presentations were extremely helpful, and kept me interested.
