Using MyLine
NEW: Course Assignments Tab
On the back of your course card, you'll now find a tab with a list of assignments available in your course. You can easily access the back of your card by clicking/tapping anywhere other than the upper right resume link.
Here you can:
- View upcoming assignments
- See individual assignment grades
NEW: Course Topics Tab
On the flipped Course Card, you’ll now find all of your course topics in the first tab on the back of your card.
Here you can:
- Go to a specific unit/topic
- View your completion status (courses in progress have a “Current Grade” completed courses have a “Final Grade”
NEW: Grade and Course Options
On the flipped Course Card, you’ll find all of your overall grade and course options grouped together on the left hand side.
Here you can:
- Quickly Resume your course
- View your overall completion status (courses in progress have a “Current Grade” completed courses have a “Final Grade”
- Schedule Proctoring
- Buy your eTextbook
- Send a Transcript
Using Your Course Card: Flipping the Card
If you click/tap anywhere other than the upper right of your Course Card, you can flip the Course Card and see course details and more options including the new assignments or topics tabs.
The front of the Course Card displays course progress and current (or final) grade at a glance.
ContinueUsing Your Course Card: the Quick Resume Link
If you click/tap on the upper right corner of your Course Card, you will go directly to your course where you left off working.
To flip the Course Card and see course details and more options, simply click/tap on the main body of the card (anywhere BUT the Resume Link.)
ContinueSlide-out Menu Feature for Easy Access
MyLine provides access to the rest of StraighterLine.com through a sliding menu that can be opened and closed by clicking/tapping the Menu icon. This slide out menu provides quick sections of the website as well as deeper links to sub-pages in those sections, including:
- MyLine Dashboard
- Online Courses
- Colleges
- How it Works Success Stories
- Free Trial
- Scholarships
- StraighterLine Blog
- Help Center
In the Upper Right, You’ll Find the User Account Menu
If you click/tap on your small picture in the upper right hand corner, you’ll see that the User Account Menu opens. (if you have not updated your photo yet it will be a generic profile image)
Here you can:
- Access the MyLine Dashboard
- Adjust your Billing Preferences including address and credit card information
- Change Your Account Settings, such as phone number and password
- Send a Transcript
StraighterLine Search and your Cart are located to the left of your User Account Menu for easy access.
ContinuePersonalize your MyLine Photo
Underneath your name you will see a link to complete or update your photo.
Here you can:
- Upload a Profile Photo (500kb size limit)
Personalize your MyLine College Profile
To the right of your name, you'll find your intended college and degree program.
Here you can:
- Set your Target College
- Select your Degree Plan
- Set our Target Transfer Date
- Additional convenient links to Account Settings and Billing Preferences
- Currently customizing your College Profile only changes the display, however we are planning future features that will use these selections to personalize other parts of the MyLine experience.
Quick Links Allow for Easy Completion of Common Tasks
Above the My Courses area and just below your College Profile, you’ll find convenient quick-action links that help you perform common dashboard functions.
Here you can:
- Add a Course
- Send a Transcript

Tutorial: Scheduling Proctoring

Login to your MyLine Dashboard and click the center of the course card for the exam you wish to schedule.

Click "Schedule Proctoring" on the back of the course card.
Note: This page will open in a new window. Make sure your Pop-Up blocker is turned off

Navigate back to "Home" and Click the "Schedule" button next to the course you wish to schedule proctoring for.

Select your preferred date and time for your exam and click “Find Available Times."

ProctorU will provide available times to select from. Click “SELECT” for the time slot you would like to schedule.

The session will add to your cart (there is no fee for sessions scheduled 72 hours in advance). ProctorU charges a small fee for expedited scheduling. Click “Process Order” to proceed, entering in your credit card information if needed.

You will get a confirmation screen once the session is scheduled. You have successfully completed the scheduling of your exam and will receive an email notification with your registration information.

Login to your MyLine Dashboard and click the center of the course card for the exam you wish to access.

Click the “Start Session” button. If you are a little early, you will see a countdown to the exact time of your session.You will now be launched into your proctoring session and your proctor will walk you through the steps to start your exam.

Login to your MyLine Dashboard and click Billing Preferences from the User Menu.

A $99 Monthly Membership will be added to your cart. Click “CHECKOUT NOW” to continue with the Membership Renewal.
Note: If your previous Monthly Membership had not expired yet, this step is not required and you will receive a confirmation message. Your Membership will not expire and will continue to rebill on your original billing cycle and payment method.

Enter your desired payment method and complete the checkout process by clicking “CONTINUE TO CHECKOUT REVIEW”. This payment method will also be used for future membership payments each month.

Review and confirm your payment, agree to the StraighterLine Terms and Conditions and click “PLACE ORDER”.

Once your payment is successfully processed, a confirmation message will appear and you will receive an email with your order invoice. Please note that future membership payments will be processed on the payment method used on your next billing date.

Under your Next Billing Date, click “Cancel Membership”. This will open a new window with the Membership Cancelation form.

You will be asked a series of questions regarding your Membership. Follow the instructions and once finished, click “CANCEL MY STRAIGHTERLINE MEMBERSHIP”.

A message will appear while your cancelation is processed. Do not close your browser window as this could interrupt your request.

Once your cancelation is processed, a confirmation message will appear. Please note the date that your billing cycle ends. This will be the last day you can access your courses. You may now close the cancelation window.

Login to your MyLine Dashboard and click Billing Preferences from the User Menu.

Under Address & Payment Information, click “UPDATE CARD”. This will open a new window with the credit card form.

Enter in your new payment information and click “UPDATE CARD INFO”. This payment method will be used for future membership payments each month and will not be charged until your Next Billing Date.

Navigate to and open the assignment in your course that you would like to submit.

Provide a title for your submission, upload the file, accept the terms, and click “Add Submission”
Note: Once a submission is uploaded, you will not be able to change or edit the assignment. Please be sure to verify that all work is complete before upload.

Navigate to and open the assignment in your course that you would like to review.

This brings you to your submission inbox for the assignment. Click the blue pencil next to your score to access the assignment in Turn It In.
